Welcome to U-M Briarwood Family Medicine. Our goal is
to prevent illness, maintain good health and control disease. We do this by
looking at the whole person, considering all aspects of your life when treating
your illness, and helping you stay healthy. We know that emotional, social,
family and other concerns are an important part of your well-being. We strive to
provide you with the best care possible. We encourage your suggestions for ways
we can better meet your needs. Integrative Medicine, a specialty complementary
and alternative medicine service, is located within the Briarwood Family
Medicine building.
Saturday Walk-in Clinic
Beginning January 2015, Briarwood Family Medicine will offer walk-in
hours for ALL U-M Family Medicine patients. At this time, the
care team at the Saturday Walk-In Clinic is unable to treat individuals who do
not currently see a U-M Family Medicine primary care provider.
We know that you’re busy and sickness doesn’t always happen during business
hours. We’re opening our doors for walk-in hours on Saturdays to make your week
a little bit easier.
At the walk-in clinic, you’ll see a member of the Family Medicine team. The
physician or physician assistant treating you will have complete access to your
medical record and a strong working relationship with your primary physician.
They can provide diagnoses and non-emergent services for all U-M Family Medicine
patients.
Physicians at the Saturday walk-in clinic are unable to process
FMLA or disability paperwork or prescribe chronic pain medication
refills.
Appointments are not necessary, so just come in.
